Cancer and Careers: Returning to Work after Cancer and Career

Cancer and Careers: Returning to Work after Cancer and Career

April 25, 2022

10am PST/1pm EST

Returning to work after any life event is dizzying.  For those of you who are navigating a new normal of parenting with cancer, you may be drowning in questions of what you want and how to make it happen.

Join Nicole Jarvis, Assistant Director of Programs at Cancer and Careers, to talk to the Bright Spot Network community about navigating the return to work after cancer with kids at home.  Cancer and little kids can change your career priorities -- taken together it can be a lot to sort through.  Whether you're wondering how to start a new job search, how to navigate new family time priorities, or how to square the multiple changing identities that you may be navigating. You'll leave this webinar with a bit more piece of mind and some practical advice.

Nicole Jarvis is the Assistant Director of Programs at Cancer and Careers.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, spent four years working at Memorial Sloan Kettering in the chemotherapy unit, until attaining her Master of Social Work degree from Hunter College, in 2013. Nicole worked as a social worker in the child welfare arena, advocating for parents in family court, prior to joining Cancer and Careers.

Cancer and Careers empowers and educates people with cancer to thrive in their workplace, by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events.
