How to Help Young Children Through a Loved One’s Cancer

How to Help Young Children Through a Loved One’s Cancer

Apr 28, 2022

6pm PST/9pm EST

We are excited to partner with Cancer Support Community Los Angeles on this event!

While young children often lack the cognitive capacity to comprehend what cancer is, they still respond to changes in routine, caregivers and feelings being expressed in the home. There are many tools parents can use to help their children, including using intentional language and children's books to introduce the concept of cancer, organizing a small intimate care team and predictable schedule for children, and finding creative ways to maintain physical contact and quality time with children even through cancer treatment. Join this webinar for more tools and resources that will leave you feeling empowered.
