When you’re dealing with cancer treatments, you may wish you had the time, and especially the energy, to help your kids learn, have fun, and connect.
We designed these art projects with the kids' of cancer patients in mind. Bright Box provides everything you need to give your kids an amazing activity, so you can love them well, in the midst of sickness and fatigue.
These art projects are best for kids 2-5 years old. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot send to families who do not have kids 10 years old or younger in their care.

What’s in the Bright Box?
Bright Spot Network is partnering with The Dolly Project to bring you Bright Box.
As cancer patients, we need all the help we can get. When you are in the throes of cancer treatment or entering those tiring months after active treatment has ended, you may want to be chasing your kid around the house but you may only have the energy for gentle cuddles.
We worked closely with The Dolly Project to create art projects and activities that will help occupy your kids if you are tired, at the doctors, or just not feeling well. Some of these activities may require some adult support but they were designed with a cancer patient in mind -- to be done when a parent is tired or just not feeling great. At the same time, completing these activities with your kid might be a nice point of connection when you have just enough energy to do something fun and calm but can’t come up with a creative idea yourself and you don’t have the energy to buy materials.
The Bright Box includes 6 art projects that are specially designed with kids of cancer patients in mind. The projects are easy, creative, and fun. All of the necessary materials are included.

What is included in each box?
In each box you’ll find a list of 6 projects, directions, images of the final projects, some fun worksheets, and all of the needed materials.
I have more than 1 child, can I order more than 1 box?
Right now we only offer 1 box per family. Children can complete the activities together!
I have a baby, will this work for me?
These projects are recommended for children ages 2-5 years old.
I have a child older than 5, will this work for me?
These projects are best for children ages 2-5 but if your kid loves art and is 8 or younger, then this will be a hit. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot send to families who don’t have kids 10 years old or younger in their care.
I have a child older than 5, will this work for me?
Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot send to families who don’t have kids 10 years old or younger in their care. These art projects are meant for younger children and work best for kids 2-5 years old.
Will my child be able to do these projects independently?
Maybe. Included in each box are the project materials, written directions, and a picture. For many kids, if they see an example of the final product they’ll want to jump right in! For other kids, and younger ones especially, they may need more assistance. Depending on what you need, you may save these projects for days that you know you won’t be feeling well. Or, they might be a great way to have some quality time with your child when you are feeling well...without having to come up with something creative to do!
