A cancer diagnosis means entering uncharted territory, as we aim to manage our own fears, medical treatments and logistics. In this webinar, as in their book, I Have a Question about Cancer, authors Arlen Gaines and Meredith Polsky address how to navigate this very "adult" topic while helping children understand and manage their own emotions.

Addressing Trauma: How Trauma Impacts Us and How to Effectively Address It

This webinar will explore kids’ trauma and trauma responses.  Participants will leave with a better understanding of kids behavior and be better equipped with how to respond.  Neal Horen, Ph.D is a clinical psychologist and Director of the H.O.Y.A. clinic at the Center for Child and Human Development.

Tantrums are A Way of Talking

Participants will also learn more about an approach for age-appropriate limit-setting that respects the feelings and needs children are sharing. Presenter, Rebecca Parlakian, MA, Ed, is a parenting expert from Zero to Three.
